Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

At Cavendish Homecare, we’re incredibly excited and proud to announce our support for the very first Neuro and Complex Care Awards! Our founder and Registered Nurse Manager, Mairead Liston, perfectly captures our enthusiasm for this vital event.

As Mairead shared, “We at Cavendish Homecare are incredibly proud to support the inaugural Neuro and Complex Care Awards. As the founder of this business, my passion has always been to deliver top-tier complex care, enabling individuals to receive the highest level of support right in the comfort of their own homes.”

What are the Neuro and Complex Care Awards?

These inaugural awards are a brand new initiative designed to specifically recognise and celebrate the extraordinary contributions of individuals and teams within the neuro and complex care sector. They aim to shine a well-deserved light on the “unsung heroes” – from specialist nurses and therapists to occupational therapists, physios, case managers, and medical consultants – who dedicate themselves to providing highly specialised and compassionate care for those with neurological conditions and complex health needs. It’s a vital opportunity to acknowledge their immense skill, resilience, and innovative approaches.

Why are we sponsoring these awards?

Our sponsorship of the Neuro and Complex Care Awards stems directly from the core of Cavendish Homecare’s mission and values:

  • Our Passion for Complex Care: As Mairead emphasised, delivering top-tier complex care in the home has always been the driving force behind Cavendish Homecare. These awards align perfectly with our dedication to this specialised area of care.
  • Recognising Unsung Heroes: We’ve seen first hand the profound impact that truly excellent complex care can have. We deeply understand the immense skill, compassion, and resilience it takes, and these awards provide a crucial platform to celebrate these dedicated professionals.
  • Promoting Collaboration: Effective care for those with neurological and complex needs is never a solitary effort. It requires a dedicated network of professionals working in seamless collaboration. Sponsoring these awards allows us to champion this collaborative spirit, highlighting the power of coming together and sharing knowledge to “make it better for everyone.”
  • Empowering Independence and Dignity: Our commitment is to empower individuals to maintain their independence and quality of life at home, surrounded by familiarity and loved ones. These awards celebrate the very professionals who make this possible, ensuring individuals facing complex health challenges can live with dignity and receive comprehensive, personalised attention.
  • Driving Innovation and Best Practice: The awards will showcase innovative approaches and best practices within the field. By supporting this, we contribute to the continuous improvement of neuro and complex care across the sector.

We eagerly anticipate an evening of celebration, honouring the extraordinary contributions of everyone who dedicates themselves to neuro and complex care. Entries close on the 1st August 2025 with the awards held on the 28th October 2025.
