Our client’s story

Mrs B, a terminally ill 70-year-old woman living with Muscular Sclerosis had been in and out of hospital for the past six months. Mrs B suffered from chest infections as well as circulations problems. Mrs B was then taken to a rehabilitation unit which was deemed unsuitable for her type of care. As Mrs B’s health was deteriorating therefore, she discussed her wishes to stay in her own home with her sister. They then got in touch with Cavendish Homecare.

The Cavendish Homecare Team carried out a full home risk assessment and arranged for the appropriate equipment to be supplied. Our Registered Nurses provided exceptional 24-hour Care working closely with the Palliative Community Care Team as well as various other external community teams. Cavendish Homecare made a real difference to the quality and dignity of care that Mrs B received during the final months of her life. Cavendish Homecare also gave her family the support they needed at the difficult time they were faced with.
