Cavendish Homecare’s story begins with a passion for client well-being. In the 1980s, our founder and Registered Nurse Manager, Mairead Liston, embarked on her nursing journey, earning her qualifications as a nurse and midwife. This ignited a remarkable career in healthcare, fuelled by a dedication to exceptional care.
Mairead’s vision for quality care extended beyond her nursing qualifications. Recognising a vital need, she founded a thriving nursing agency that became a trusted partner for staffing major hospitals across London and the UK. The agency’s reputation for reliability and quality care laid the groundwork for what was to come.
In 2010, Mairead identified a growing need that wasn’t being fully met. Many people longed for exemplary care, but often those options weren’t readily available in the comfort of their own homes. This realisation sparked the creation of Cavendish Homecare, providing highly trained nurses and carers who deliver personalised care directly where it’s needed most.
We take pride in being a family-run business. This allows us to offer the flexibility and personalised approach that larger franchises and introductory agencies often struggle to provide, delivering award-winning homecare to every client, every step of the way.
