“I have used Cavendish Homecare for over five years, this fact is testament to my reliance on their competence and expertise. The quality of their staff reflects the standards and leadership of Mairead Liston. If I could suggest the ‘brand’, it would be ‘compassionate high-quality nursing’… the compassion comes first.
Mairead supplies staff who are calm and comforting, and never judgmental. She is completely clear in the financial aspects of her services but will not be pushed to undermine safety or standards to protect cost. I have required help in emergencies and can frequently get someone on-site within an hour. The needs of the patient dictate the type of staff supplied, whether it is a highly trained Registered Nurse or Carer, sometimes both. On occasion, I have insisted that an end-of-life patient in hospital is attended by one of Cavendish Homecare’s Registered Nurses at home. This is to ensure compassionate support to counterbalance the technological insensitive mechanicals of the situation.
I think Mairead Liston leads a team who define the best that Domiciliary Nursing can be. An end-of-life patient returning home with fear in their eyes is transformed to a state of serenity – pain-free, respected in their individual wishes, and finally feeling safe.”

I wish to emphasize that my parents are being looked after extremely well in a very happy environment by your two wonderful and talented carers, Lucy & Lea.
“We just wanted to let you know how blessed and happy we feel and more importantly dad feels having Fonyee caring for him. She has created a lovely relationship with dad. She has reduced our anxiety by being professional and easy to be around.”
Thank you so very much for supporting Lynne through what has been an unprecedented time. Thank you for the outstanding care you all have continued to provide despite hugely difficult times brought about by the Covid virus. The excellent training, attention to detail, organisation, communication devotion and compassion of all of your team during this time and in fact since you agreed to care for Lynne, is an absolute credit to you and our family wish to say a huge thank you to you all. The challenges of late stage MS are huge without the added difficulties of the pandemic. As you are aware without the astute nature and excellent training of your team, the recent situation that occurred for Lynne may have led to a very different outcome. I am so relieved to see Lynne back home and looking more like herself.
