A typical day
As the General Manager at Cavendish Homecare, Denise manages a diverse and ever-changing workload. Her day often begins with managing new client enquiries and extends into key areas such as quality assurance, compliance with CQC guidelines, ISO accreditation, and business development. She works closely with the team of Nurse Managers to ensure our clients’ care plans reflect their clinical and care needs.
Professional background
Denise is a Registered Nurse who holds a BSc (Hons) in Global Politics from the Open University and a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors. Her professional experience includes working with various NGOs abroad and volunteering as an administrator for Medicine Sans Frontier in London.

Outside of work, Denise enjoys sailing, studying French and learning chess. She also supports the Guide Dog charity by fostering trainee dogs, combining her love of animals with a sense of purpose.

In her spare time Denise enjoys volunteering at her local hospice, St Joseph’s in Hackney.

She has completed in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, sailing from South America to South Africa. This reflects both her adventurous spirit and her personal and professional resilience.
