As Clinical Services Manager, Maureen’s days are centred around maintaining high clinical standards and supporting both clients and care teams. She is often involved in problem-solving complex clinical situations, providing guidance to nursing teams, and ensuring that communication remains clear and consistent across all parties involved. Her role requires a balance of clinical oversight, collaboration, and attention to detail to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
Professional background
Maureen qualified as a Registered Nurse in Portugal before furthering her education in the UK. She completed a Paediatric Intensive Care Course at King’s College London and went on to achieve both a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master’s degree in Children’s Nursing from London South Bank University.
Her career began in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit before moving to the UK in 2012 to work within Paediatric Intensive Care at the Royal Brompton Hospital, caring for children with congenital heart conditions. She later became a Clinical Practice Facilitator at The Harley Street Clinic and The Portland Hospital, supporting clinical education and staff development.
Maureen has also worked in healthcare technology and governance, helping implement electronic patient record systems and serving as a Data Analysis, Quality and Education Specialist within HCA Healthcare. She has completed additional training in Digital Clinical Safety and Governance, bringing a unique combination of clinical expertise, education, quality improvement, and innovation to her role.

At the end of a busy week, Maureen enjoys watching Formula 1 and tennis, attending concerts, or simply taking time to relax and recharge. These moments help her switch off from the demands of healthcare while maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Maureen studied violin for more than ten years and has a strong appreciation for music alongside her passion for healthcare and technology.
