Outside of work, she enjoys long walks, family time, and practicing yoga.

A typical day

As Accounts Manager, Sarah starts her week focused on generating invoices and reconciling the previous week’s transactions. As the days progress, her attention turns to managing payroll, ensuring the nurses and carers receive accurate and timely payments. Her role is essential to keeping the financial operations of Cavendish Homecare running smoothly.

Professional background

Sarah began her career in healthcare after completing a home assistant qualification. Before joining Cavendish Homecare, she worked for five years in a hospital catering department in Dublin and also spent time as a healthcare assistant in homecare. After moving to London in 1986, she joined her sister’s nursing agency in an admin role and gradually transitioned into accounts, where she discovered her niche. Today, she oversees all homecare accounts, including client invoicing, payment processing, payroll administration, and financial record-keeping.

She believes that when the accounts processes run smoothly, it helps lift unnecessary burdens from families and supports the broader care team in doing what they do best.
