What is the Great British Care Awards?

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector.  The purpose of the awards are to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. There are 21 awards categories available for nomination, which represent all areas of the social care sector.

This award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate employers’ commitment to care and how this is achieving success in delivering an excellent service.

Housing with Care

This award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate employers’ commitment to care and how this is achieving success in delivering an excellent service.

The three R’s

This category recognises organisations and individuals who have adopted an innovative approach to Recruitment, Retention and Recognition.

Care Innovator

This award will recognise an individual or a team providing person centered services to vulnerable people living in any kind of supported housing scheme.

The Outstanding Contribution to Social Care

This special award will be presented to the individual whom the judges believe has made a long-term outstanding contribution to social care.

We are delighted to announce that Cavendish Homecare are regional winners of the ‘Housing with Care’ award! Congratulations to our wonderful homecare team for achieving this award and being recognised for all your hard work. The team attended the national finals which will took place on 17th March 2023 and had a lovely evening.

As a volunteer at North London Action for the Homeless, Misha stands out for her exceptional ability to connect with people through active listening and meaningful dialogue. With seven years of invaluable experience as a Team Leader and Key Worker for adults with diverse learning disabilities, including cerebral palsy, dementia, Down syndrome, and brain injuries, Misha brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of caring for individuals with unique needs.

Now a pivotal member of the operations team at Cavendish Homecare, Misha actively supports Nurse Managers and the Bookings team in delivering high-quality care. She has demonstrated outstanding commitment to supporting charity partner Cruse Bereavement through events such as the Virtual TCS London Marathon and Light up the Night.
