- Number of care visits required
- Duration of visits
- Complexity of care needs

Support available in Kensington and Chelsea
Many families contact us at a point of uncertainty. Perhaps a loved one has recently been discharged from hospital. Perhaps you’re noticing changes in their mobility, memory or confidence. Or perhaps you’re simply beginning to think about future care options and want to understand what support may be available.
Knowing where to start can feel overwhelming.
While every situation is different, there are several organisations and sources of support that may be able to help you understand your options, access funding and arrange appropriate care.
Financial support for care
Depending on your circumstances, you may be entitled to financial assistance to help cover the cost of care.

Attendance Allowance is a non-means-tested benefit for people over State Pension age who require help with personal care or supervision because of illness or disability. It can help contribute towards the cost of home care and support services.
NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC)

This funding is not means-tested and, if eligible, can contribute towards the cost of care provided at home or in other settings. Eligibility is determined through a formal NHS assessment process.
