Maggie Candy recently attended a significant event at the House of Lords, hosted by the Rt Hon. Lord Falconer of Thoroton, in collaboration with John’s Campaign, Rights for Residents, and Care Rights UK.
The event brought together a distinguished group of experts, including Nicci Gerrard from John’s Campaign, Jo James from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Thomas Gillie from Matrix Chambers, Kate Meacock from Rights for Residents, and Helen Wildbore from Care Rights UK.

To add a touch of artistic expression to the event, a captivating performance of “Lizzie on the Fence” by Human Story Theatre was showcased. This powerful performance highlighted the human stories behind the statistics and further emphasised the need for compassionate and effective care.
