What does live-in care include?

At Cavendish Homecare, live-in care includes a range of specialist, at-home services designed to help you live a full and independent life in the comfort of your own home. FAQ

Our live-in care services cater to range of needs, from general age-related conditions to more specific conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Our team of nurses and carers possess a diverse range of skills and are fully equipped to provide care for a range of conditions.

A live-in carer provides comprehensive support in various ways. Our team of live in nurses and carers in London and the home counties can support you with personal care, daily living activities, medication management, companionship and many more. The care delivered will always be personalised to your needs.

The type of care you want to receive will depend on each individual, their needs and preferences. Live-in care is beneficial as it allows you to stay in your home, remain independent and keep the same routine. This can be important for those living with dementia as keeps them in a familiar environment. In some cases, this may not be beneficial. It is always important to speak to your loved ones and their healthcare team to plan out the best care plan.

Both live-in care and domiciliary care services offer clients support at home. The main difference is that live-in care involves a nurse or carer residing in the home full time while domiciliary care consists of scheduled visits by a nurse or care, ranging from a few hours a week to several times in a day.

All Cavendish Homecare carers have an enhanced DBS registration, maintain their mandatory training requirements and CPD, undertake regular occupational health checks, have 2 verified references and participate in annual appraisals.

All Cavendish Homecare nurses will have the above and are also registered with the Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC).

24 hour care involves round-the-clock, continuous support provided by nurses or carers. It is designed to provide high level of supervision and support to monitor and assist with any needs, especially those with chronic illnesses, severe disabilities or those recovering from surgery.
